I love everything about being a therapist. I am honored to be a part of the healing process for my clients, and to work with them as they develop self-empowerment. My career as a therapist was inspired by the experiences I had during my undergraduate program. While studying Psychology, I worked with young people at a residential treatment program; these children were challenged by trauma, rejection, abandonment, and abuse. The experience taught me how important consistency, kindness, authenticity, and unconditional, positive regard can be during collaborative treatment.
When I am not working, I can often be found outdoors. I spend as much time as I can enjoying all the elements available in my community. I love my creative process, and find it’s as much a part of my balance as meditation and rest. While I relish experiencing life with the people I love, I also make essential time each day for quiet moments in my own private space.
